AMERICAN WALNUT - (Guibourtia ehie)

Occurs in the United States of America, in the Midwest and North East of the United States. It can be found in the south east of Canada. In Poland, this tree is planted as an ornamental plant in parks and botanical gardens. One of the largest and oldest Polish specimens grows at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. American walnut grows fast - reaches 25-30 meters in height. He likes light and space. Trees growing alone most often have huge, spherical crowns. The tree's dark bark is named after the black walnut. A useful feature of the American walnut is an interesting pattern of grain and a dark color. Musical instruments, rifle butts and ornaments are made of it. Wood from American walnut is considered very decorative. The decorative effect of wood is due to the diversity of colors and a clear drawing of the rings.
